Sorry...
But things never seem to go the way we intend... do they?
So here is an update to the projects I will be working on the next few months.
1. USS Crockett - Dumas kit. I will have this kit built to the point of having it in the water by the time the lakes thaw here in North Dakota. I could have it to this point by a few weeks getting me to the lakes before they freeze, but other things need my time. I will also have the website updated to follow along as I build. Other builds I've built at my own pace and went back later and did an update. Doing the updates as I build I seem to be doing far much work on the website than the model...
But there was a large number of emails I was getting about this model. So I wanted to rebuild it and do a much more detailed website.
2. USS Antietam CG-54 - I am working on this now. This is a 1/96th scale model using a Scale Shipyard hull. I have some Scale Shipyard and Sirmar fittings to use on this project also. But the major thing I will be doing is using the Ticonderoga Class lasers for the superstructure. These lasers I have ordered from
Homeport Model Ships. I have and will be working with Eric Bertelsen of Homeport to do an area on my website showing this build in detail. I have already started the HTML and the "basic" area on the Model Marina has been made!
When I get more done I will open that area for the public to view. I will have this model built to the point of having it in the water by the time the lakes thaw here in North Dakota.
Work has stopped to on the following models:
Creole Queen
DD-963 USS Spruance
Aziz
Mister Darby (I have a new kit in storage, just awaiting time to build. (Maybe I'll sale it on ebay?) So you see, I will be working on only two models this winter. I may put some time on the others, but my main effort will go to the top two. If anyone has any ?'s, please let me know.
Again, sorry. 3 SSY hulls... Got any pictures of your builds that you can post? This may be a good subject for you to start a Blog. Give me a few months to get the suff I need (Don has some Sitek running H/W on order) If you want to be kept updated on this build let me know.
