Hello everyone,

Just have a simple question, I plan to build the scale model Aiziz and I was wondering what the weight
limit on the sealed battery I can use on this kit, I asked because I was thingking of using the 18ah 12.6lbs
battery, is this too heavy for the boat, and does it fit, dimension is 3x7x6.5, I will be using 2 pittman
motors rated 12v not the 3700series. Thank you for response.

That is a very good question. For my fist run at the lake I used two Hobbico TorqMaster LC 12V 7Amp Batteries.

Here are the SPECS:

Length: 5.9"
Width: 2.5"
Height: 3.6"
Weight: 5.25lb.

With two of these batteries it put my Aziz a bit below the water line.

Using the battery you listed can be a bit too much for this model as far as weight. The 18 ah rating will give you very long run times. With the Pittman motors, these would work great with the batteries I used. I have set up my wiring to accept the two batteries but I will mostly only use one in my Aziz.

The Pittman 3700 motors would be far too big for this model and would be over kill! ohmy.gif Good choice with using the smaller ones. For my Aziz, I used MFA4 11:1 geared 12 volt motors.

You can get these motors from Harbor Models and the batteries from Tower Hobbies.
