I am building the MR DARBY and Iwould like to know if I use the keel with kort knozzles. I have not gotten the running gear yet but I did install the keel thinking that I was going to use open props :unsure: THANKS FOR THE HELP DAVE OF TACOMA :unsure:

Dave, it is up to you and what you want to do. I have seen tugs with and with out it.

thanks for the imfo.
I would like to know scence I have been to the great state of freez your ass off to going to well done in the
same day how do you test your boats in the winter, or do you do the same thing I do,[I put mine in the lake
or do you use the bathtub. It's a joke because I was at MAB FROM 71 TO 74 OGOD DID I HAVE FUN. I did have a m16 for the masetos [I no it is niss spelled] from takeing the B52S and I was only a jetmac. : biggrin.gif
That is the only state I have been in that I could walk from one roof to another.
HAVE YOU EVER MADE A ICE BRAKER. DAVE

This is really not the "Great State of Freeze Your Ass Off" anymore. Yes it is cold here but not like it was when I got here in 1987! wink.gif It seems to be getting warmer a little bit each year... Global Warming??? Like today the temp is a very warm 41! Seems to be getting warmer each year... but I still remember the -30 degree temps... and thats not with the wind chill!!!!!!!!!!
But as I get older I seem to be out in the cold less and less. In the Fall I tend to make my last voyage at the lake and then get ready for the long Winter. If I need to test a hull during the Winter I use an inflatable kids pool in the basement. Easy to fill and easy to drain. I mostly use the Winter time to build on my models. Although this Winter has found me working on models that FLY and not those that FLOAT. ohmy.gif


I have never built an ice breaker. It would be cool to see one working on a lake with very very thin ice. cool.gif
