Hello Folks,

Have started construction on a scratch build Bonanza (1960 Era) based on a Glen-L Design. The framing is almost complete and some fairing work has been accomplished. Here is the link for all the photos and a narrative of what I have accomplished so far. I will post new photos as I progress, that could be daily or every other day, so bookmark my site to stay abreast of the progress.

http://members.cox.net/dutch4/index.html

I also have my four other boats on this web site also, each of these were given to my brothers (have four)........

Free free to email me with any questions directly or post them here.

Thanks, Mike

The pictures look really good. What did you use to power it? What did you use for your finish?

Roger, I used the Dumas 2025 motor, 6v, and the hull has polyester resin, no glass and then aersol can sprayed with Krylon clear and red for the bottom.

Hi all,

I have a Dumas Chris Craft, 36", 1930 version. I built this and installed their #2025 6v motor.

http://www.dumasestore.com/catalog/product...products_id=323

My question: is there a little stronger motor I can go with that is the same size and price range as the one I have in there? Need the new one to match 1/8" shaft. I am using a 6V 1500 mah battery for power and the SP-520+ ESC, so I don't want to convert to a 12V system. Any suggestions from anyone???

Thx, Mike

Mike,

Invision Power Board has had problems with the Blog and Gallery add-ons and the uploading of images. The problem is with the php and how much memory is used. As they have told me "there is a find line between it working and not". The server I have hosting my site has plenty of memory but... I still see this error at times. There are several ways we can get around this.

I have not had any problems with my Blog and attaching images because I "hot link" them from a "dir" on this site. I simply upload them to a place on my site and them link them in the Blog. Simple. This will also work for other members of this board.

In order to link your images they must have an address on the net. i.e. "http://www.rktman.com/rlh/images/jollyjay.jpg" You can add images to your Blog in this way as you add images to posts.

Having the web address you can link as you wish, provided you have rights to the picture. wink.gif If you do not have a way to upload your images to a server yourself this can pose a problem. My fix to this is to allow those members who want space for their images for their Blogs space on the Model Marina server. Although I WILL NOT grant anyone FTP direct to the server, I will upload the images for you and provide you with the needed address. If anyone would like to do this, just send me an email.

Thx Roger. Appreciate the help. Will try again and if it doesn't work, I'll email the pics to you. Mike

Hello, trying to make attachments in my blog and I get an error saying "The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error." Can you help on this please.

Thx, Mike
