I added the main hydraulic plate.

Then I added the hydraulic pipes to the plate.

I cleaned up the Motor/Rope Reel and added the hydraulic lines. This item goes under the main boom.

The main frame pivot pin secures the main boom to the turret tube. When I glued the main boom into position, I made sure that the boom was blum and not twisted. If there is a small twist in the boom, this will me even more noticable when the rest of the crane is added.

Within the marks... it's good cool.gif

Here I put together the pivot ram. On this model I changed a few things. One to note is how I mounted the inner are end plates on the main boom. You are to build these so that they are on the "outside". But on my model I changed them an mounted them on the inside. I had to add .040 styrene under the middle boom end plates to allow for this change. Take a look at the picture above and look at the picture below... see what I changed??? wink.gif

I added hydraulic lines to the turret hydraulic motor then added it to the turret. I added the hydraulic rams to the booms and then slid them into the main boom. You can paint the rams before installing them to the model. I tried both, gluing them on before painting and painting off the model. I'll let you know the method I liked best.

Picture of the booms slid together. I added the platform to the crane. I aso added the hydraulic control panel but did not add the levers. I did not add the levers because to person I was building this for told me the crane was going to go onto a 1/48th scale tug. The levers where 1.32nd scale and way too long and thick to "fool" you into beliving the crane was the same scale as the tug. The fellow modeler will add the levers at a later time. The ladder was removed, again the fellow modeler will add a 1/48th scale ladder at a later time.

Another view of the crane. I added the hydraulic lines to the remaining booms. The crane is about ready for primer! biggrin.gif
