After the resin has dried, lightly sand the fiberglassed portions of the hull with #220 grit sandpaper, removing any high buildups of resin. Be careful not to sand through the fiberglass cloth. If you do sand through the cloth, make a note of these locations on the hull.  They will need an extra coat of resin.  You will want to "feather" the forward end of the fiberglass cloth into the rest of the hull.  Using sand paper this should be easily done to allow for a smooth transition from where there is no cloth to where the cloth has been applied.  Do not worry about the fiberglass "weave".  Later coats of resin will take care of this.

You will also need to remove the excess cloth at the sheer/deck with a sanding block. You will be able to "cut" the cloth neatly by sanding along the edge of the hull at an angle.
After you have sanded and removed the sanding dust from the hull now we need to fiberglass the bow.  I cut two pieces to fit the bow area.  Allow for over hang at the deck.  Use the same procedure to install the bow fiberglass as you did on the aft section.   Work quickly but carefully.  Blind in the resin you apply to the bow down the length of the hull.  As you work to the transom, this will actually be the second coat you will be applying to the first piece of fiberglass cloth.
