at this point, us the pictures of my hull to help you plan for yours.  The pictures show my use of the Power Distribution Panel from Harbor Models The use of the power distribution panel will eliminate the use of separate battery packs for powering-up accessories of different voltages. It will also protect your accessories with built-in circuit breakers. The panel also makes wiring connections quickly and easily. This unit takes 12 volts from the main battery and supplies two 12-volt circuits, two 6-volt circuits, a 4.8-volt circuit for the radio receiver, and two 3-volt circuits. Each circuit is individually controlled by a rocker switch. The 6, 4.7 and 3-volt circuits are protected with thermally activated, self-resetting breakers.

While the deck is taped on the hull, I removed the superstructure parts from the plywood sheets.  I taped some of the superstructure parts together.  This will allow me to check the clearance in the deck opening.  I have received some emails form other modelers who have run into a problem installing the deck.  They end up with a deck opening that is too small to allow the superstructure to fit.  If this happens to you, you then have to trim the deck to allow the superstructure to fit...  doing this is a pain.  Here is a way to fix this:

Install the taped together superstructure into the deck opening.  Check the fit, look to see if the deck is centered on the hull and if the superstructure fits inside the deck opening.

Check the fit.  Any small gaps between the superstructure and the deck will be "fixed" at a later point in construction.

After you are happy with the fit, remove the superstructure from the hull.  Now mark the location of the deck pieces on the hull frames.  Mark the deck opening location.  You will use these marks  to align and attach deck.
