I want my USS
Crockett model to include all the extra details I added to
my first Crockett. Along with these added details, I
will try to add the following: |
 |
1. 12 volt power and drive system
2.
Power
Distribution Panel from Harbor Models.
This unit takes 12 volts from the
main battery and supplies two 12-volt circuits, two
6-volt circuits, a 4.8-volt circuit for the radio
receiver, and two 3-volt circuits.
I have used this in the past and it makes wiring so much
easier!
3. Electronic Speed Controls -
Vantec model 411
has 12 amps continuous, 30 amps
surge for 5 seconds at 12V. Fully proportional forward
and reverse.
4.
Robbe F-14 Navy Marine Radio -
The built-in Navy Twin-Stick
is a fully proportional separate double throttle control
unit.
Various multi-switch,
multi-prop, or multi-switch-prop module channel
extensions can expand this radio up to 104 functions.
Awesome radio system.
5. Engine and gunfire sounds
6. Working lights
7. Working RADAR unit
8. Rotating forward and aft mounts
9. Detailed bridge
10. Custom made "A" struts
11. Crew members
12.
Detailed lockers and deck equipment
13. Custom casted fittings |

I now
have a "game plan":
1. Build the "basic" hull and the superstructure
as a R/C model. During this part of the build I
will make provisions for adding working components
listed above.
2. Add as much details and
extras
3. Document the entire build on
this website. |
