The single 40mm Bofor Anti Aircraft gun mounts on the rear access hatch, G-1, G-2, and G-3 should be cemented to the hatch so that they overhang the hatch 1/16". This overhang conceals most of the seam around the hatch. If you are building on the deck, protect against inadvertently bonding the hatch to the deck with wax paper. Cement G- I, G-2, and G-3 in place.

The Bofors mount can be made to pivot the same way as the 3/50 turret or be cemented solidly in place. If you are going to pivot it cement one T-11 to the hatch and the other two to G-9. If you don't wish to pivot the gun mount cement all three T-11's to G-9.

Make up the seats and platform etc. for the gun mount from 1/8" and ¼" balsa as shown. The gun and gun mount should be painted separately before permanently mounting on the boat.
