On the center seam of the deck mark a point 5
1/4" forward of the superstructure opening. This point is the center of rotation
(pivot point) of the 3/50 turret.
Study the 3"/50 gun turret drawings.
Note that the center of rotation is somewhat forward of the fore and aft center of the
turret. The die cut parts T-1, T-10 and T-11 have punch marks at the center of rotation.
Drill a 1/16" hole in each of these parts at the punch mark.
Roger's Notes: Locate the parts that will be
used to construction of the 3"/50 turret and test fit them first. The parts in
my kit fit together well.
Assemble T-3 and T-4. Cement T-3/4 to T-1
with T-4 perpendicular to the flat on T-1 and the inter section of T-3 and T-4 directly
above the center hole. T-3 must be perpendicular to both T-4 and T-1.

Cement T-2 and T-3/4. Use a square or
drafting triangle to insure that T-2 is directly above T-1 so that the outer skin T-8 will
fit properly. Cement T-6 to the flat on T-3.
Roger's Notes: Step 51
deleted.
Use a sanding block to bevel T-2 and T-6 to
match the slope on T- 4. Then cement T-5 to T-2, T-4 and T-6. This incorporates step 51.
Sand vertically around the turret skeleton
with your sanding block then cement the outer skin T-8 in place.
Cement three T-7's to the top of the turret
then sand to the shape shown in the drawings.
