| Roger's Notes: The front edge of the
upper cabin side extends 1/8" forward of the rear edges of the bridge area of the
lower cabin side, in order to cement to the inside of the "U" cut out in C-1.

Cement the 1/8" sq. spruce to the inside
surface of the right and left, upper and lower deck sides. Follow the drawings on the
plans as a guide. Also cement a piece of 1/8" sq. spruce between the
middle notches in C-1. This strip will support the front edge of the lower cabin top.

Place the left lower cabin side in the cutout
in the hull. Mark the location of FRAME 9. Cement C-3 immediately aft of FRAME
9.

Roger's Notes: C-3 was glued to one of the lower cabin
sides. Then the lower cabin sides were installed in the cabin cutout in the
hull. When you slide the non glued end of C-3 in place, it should fit snugly and
support the other cabin side as you work. Notice that there is no need to ensure
that C-3 is square, just that the other parts are aligned correctly. C-3 will be
completely hidden in the finished model. This frame was moved to allow the sides to
fit in the the deck opening. Building it on the deck allows you to move C-3 to
achieve the best fit. Because this is a wood kit, due to humidity and other
factors, you may not need to make this adjustment.

Assemble the lower cabin sides to C-1, C-2,
C-3 and C-4.
