This is the continuation of step 23 from the previous page.
Now that the resin has had time to set and harden you can now sand the hull smooth.
Sand the resin until the hull is smooth to your satisfaction.
Roger's Notes: To tell you
that you will have to sand the hull is not telling you the full story. Plan on a few
days of sanding to get the hull perfectly smooth. I have had other modelers tell of
this too. The resin does an excellent job, but requires major "elbow
grease" to bring it to the final finished surface. After the
first coat was sanded, I added a second coat of resin. This second coat was sanded
to the final finished surface.

Roger's Notes: Here I have just started to sand the hull. After the resin had
dried, the hull looked very smooth and the resin had seemed to level over the cloth.
But as I started to sand, I could see where there were minor areas where the resin
wasn't as smooth as I had thought. I did add a second coat of just finishing resin.
This second coat was sanded and produced an exceptional finished surface.
Also note that the superstructure has been test fitted together. Here I was test
fitting the pieces together getting ready for the next steps. At this point the
Crockett is starting to take shape.
