The Cabin

the wood grain is parallel to the joint between the parts, as shown. Run CA into the joint. Then, use a sanding block to sand the joint flush on both sides when the CA has dried.

Laminate two of the roof frames together with Slow CA. Then, stack all of the roof frames together and lightly sand their ends even with a sanding block, as shown.

Fit the frames into the slots in the cockpit roof beams, as shown. Hold them in place by stretching several strips of masking tape across the beams, as shown.

Roger's Notes: Note in the picture above how I ensured the frames were parallel.  Make sure this assembly is square before the glue dries the frames to the cockpit roof.

Windshield

Remove the windshield from the plan and lay it on a flat surface. Use a sanding block to sand the joints flush, on both sides of the windshield.

Use a sanding block to sand a bevel into the bottom edge of the windshield so that it mates with the dashboard when held in position between the cabin sides, as shown.

Roger's Notes: If necessary, trim or build up the edges of the windshield so that it fits tightly between the cabin sides.

In the picture above, you can see were I was "test fitting" the windshield.  You will also notice that the dashboard had not yet been installed.  I built the windshield while the cabin sides were drying.

Hold the windshield in position so that it is in contact with the dashboard and is flush with the edges of the cabin sides. Then, run CA into the joints.

Cockpit Roof

In this sub-assembly, the cockpit roof will be built so that is temporarily removable. This will ease further construction, finishing and detailing of the cockpit area. If you wish, the cockpit roof can be glued in place at this time. However, it might be wise to read "Finishing", "Windows" and those sub-assemblies that deal with the installation of details before making that decision.

You will need the parts illustrated in your manual to complete this sub-assembly. The die-cut parts are in Bag Number Three (#3). The cockpit roof parts are in Bag Number Five (#5)

Lay a piece of plastic wrap (again, I used Wax paper) on your building board.  Butt the two cockpit roof parts together on the plastic wrap. Be sure
