Roger's Notes:
A picture of my hull before I installed the bow blocks.
Fit one bow
block to each side of the keel, breasthook, and F2, as shown.
If necessary, use a sanding block to Shape the mating sides of
the bow blocks to fit tightly against these parts, with no gaps.
Apply Slow CA to the keel, breasthook and F2. Press each
bow block into position until the Slow CA cures (about 20
seconds).

Bottom Planking
Use a plane and
sanding block to fair the bottoms of the chine logs. Use the
balsa sheeting in the same manner as a fairing batten to help
you shape the chine logs. Be careful to fair the chine logs so
that the outside edges form a fairly even curve from the transom
to F2, as shown.
CORRECT
INCORRECT
Apply Slow CA to
the keel strip, frames, transom and chine logs. Position the
balsa sheeting against the keel. Make sure that the ends
overhang the transom and F2. Then, bend the sheeting into
contact with all of the parts.
Trim and sand
the bottom sheeting flush with the side sheeting, back of the
transom, and the front of F2.
Repeat Steps
#102 through #106 to apply the balsa sheeting to the opposite
side of the hull.
