Seal the rudder post with a small piece of tape to prevent water from entering the boat during this Step.

Place the motor, radio, and all of the batteries in their approximate positions in the hull. Then, place the cabin roof, cockpit roof, and hatched in position.

Fill your bathtub with about four to six inches of water. Set the boat in the water and add ballast (tools can be used as ballast here) until the boat floats in a level position and both pencil marks are at the surface of the water.

Take the boat out of the water. Sprinkle enough talcum powder on the surface of the water to cover the surface. Then, when the water is still, gently lower the boat into the water in a level attitude until it floats. Try not to disturb the water when doing this. Then carefully lift the boat from the water without touching any part of the hull near the waterline. Place the boat on the display stand and let the water evaporate from the hull.
